General Manager (GM) – Esports Company

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and business-oriented General Manager to lead the overall operations and growth of our esports company. The General Manager will be responsible for developing business strategies, managing daily operations, driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

• Develop and execute the company's short-term and long-term business strategies.
• Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and revenue streams within the esports and gaming industry.
• Drive business expansion through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and commercial collaborations.
• Monitor industry developments and competitor activities to maintain a competitive advantage.

Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company to ensure efficiency and operational excellence.
• Develop and optimize operational processes, workflows, and internal policies.
• Ensure all departments work collaboratively to achieve business goals.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and employees across operations, marketing, sales, events, and administration.
• Build a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and teamwork.
• Manage recruitment, staff development, and performance evaluations.

Financial Management

• Prepare and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
• Ensure effective cost control and resource allocation.
• Review financial reports and implement strategies to improve business performance.

Esports Operations

• Oversee esports tournaments, leagues, gaming events, and community engagement initiatives.
• Ensure successful planning and execution of both online and offline esports events.
• Support the development and growth of esports teams, players, and gaming communities where applicable.

Business Development & Partnerships

• Develop relationships with sponsors, publishers, gaming platforms, media partners, and corporate clients.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships.
• Explore opportunities for regional and international business expansion.

Marketing & Brand Management

• Work closely with the marketing team to strengthen brand awareness and audience engagement.
• Support digital marketing, social media campaigns, influencer collaborations, and community-building initiatives.
• Enhance the company's reputation within the esports and gaming ecosystem.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
• Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Maintain high standards of corporate governance and ethical business practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of senior management experience, preferably within esports, gaming, entertainment, technology, or digital media industries.
• Strong understanding of the esports ecosystem and gaming industry.
• Proven experience in business development, operations management, and team leadership.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and business performance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
