GENERAL MANAGER

Job Summary

Responsible central coordinator for a theatrical or live production, ensuring seamless execution from the first rehearsal to the final curtain call.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed rehearsal schedules to optimize preparation time and resource allocation
• Record and organize director’s notes to ensure clear communication of creative vision to all production members
• Coordinate setup of rehearsal spaces to meet production requirements and support efficient workflow
• Serve as the primary communication link between the director, actors, designers, and technical and stage crews to align all teams
• Organize and oversee technical logistics, including the setup ("get in") and teardown ("get out") of sets and equipment, as well as management of props and costumes
• Direct performance execution from a backstage control position by calling all technical cues and maintaining adherence to the show schedule
• Identify and resolve issues promptly during rehearsals and live performances to minimize disruptions and maintain production quality
• Motivate and lead team members to foster collaboration and maintain high performance under pressure
• Prioritize and organize both personal and team tasks to ensure efficient workflow and meet deadlines
• Apply initiative and flexibility to adapt quickly to changing production needs and unexpected challenges
