We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage professional to join our team and oversee the operations of our food and beverage department.
Job Overview: As the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our food and beverage operations, ensuring high-quality service, guest satisfaction, and profitability. You will lead a team of professionals, including servers, bartenders, chefs, and other staff members, to deliver memorable dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals for the food and beverage department.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, bar, banquet facilities, and room service, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained at all times.
- Hire, train, and supervise food and beverage staff, providing coaching and guidance to ensure performance excellence.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, employee morale, and professional development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients and beverages.
- Monitor inventory levels and control costs through effective inventory management and waste reduction strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as food hygiene standards, to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to design innovative menus that reflect current food trends and meet guest preferences.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, sales forecasts, and profit and loss statements, to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food and beverage management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets through effective cost control and revenue optimization strategies.
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in computer software applications, such as MS Office and restaurant management systems.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation is desirable.
