GENERAL MANAGER - Immediate Start

 The General Manager holds complete P&L responsibility, directly overseeing financial performance and trade results. Additionally, they are accountable for devising trade and marketing expenditure strategies, assessing financial viability, and managing planning and control.

• Achieve or exceed the sales volume, profit margins and revenue targets as defined in the Business Plan.
• Monitor/control the sales budget to ensure optimum allocation of resources to achieve top and bottom-line objectives.
• Manages sales planning and control and conducts a review and optimization of the route to market.
• Analyzes, reports, and presents sales, marketing, and financial results following established processes.
• Guides the team to collaborate and function cohesively to achieve the country plan, with a sense of empowerment and individual responsibility.
• Comprehends performance standards across all functions and drives support functions to meet business requirements.
• Cultivates entrepreneurial thinking by fostering innovation and soliciting novel ideas from the team.
• Establishes authentic trade relationships and possesses the ability to engage, collaborate, and negotiate at a high-level with our Key Trade Channel Partners.
• Demonstrates a strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of customer and distributor value chains, return on investment, and profitability.
• Demonstrates a clear understanding of markets, sales, distribution, competitor activities, and consumer behavior within the context of a brand and the FMCG industry.
• Leads by example, taking full ownership and consistently exceeding expectations to deliver results.
• Comfortable with hands-on operational involvement while also developing and driving strategic visions, serving as a front-line leader.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Management, Marketing or its equivalent from recognised university.
