General Manager (Marine)

Basic information: 

• Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, Saturdays 8am - 12pm
• Basic UP $5500
• Location: West
• MUST have own transport

Job Scope: 

• Oversee overall planning and daily operations of the production plant, fabrication yard, workshop, and related facilities to ensure smooth workflow.
• Lead and develop operations, production, and yard teams to support business growth and enhance productivity.
• Manage end-to-end project execution, including planning, resource allocation (manpower and equipment), subcontracting, and delivery to meet cost, timeline, quality, and client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HSE standards, manpower regulations, and work permit controls.
• Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams and manage external client relationships to ensure effective project delivery and issue resolution.
• Monitor operational performance, including productivity, equipment utilisation, workflow efficiency, and overall yard performance.
• Support commercial and financial aspects of yard operations, including project performance, claims, and payment matters.
• Drive continuous operational improvements and align production output with business and sales objectives.

Additional Information: 

• Degree from an accredited institution preferred but not essential.
• 10–15 years of operations experience in fabrication plants, yards, or waterfront facilities.
• Strong track record in maintaining high standards of quality assurance and HSE compliance.
• Extensive exposure to offshore, marine, and oil & gas sectors with strong understanding of operational processes for timely project delivery.
• Ability to manage, engage, and mentor multicultural teams, including both overseas and local staff.
• Strong communication skills with senior management, including the ability to present and defend recommendations.
• Excellent project management capabilities.
• Self-driven, commercially mature, and able to work independently.
• Strong leadership skills and a collaborative team player mindset.
