Job Description - General Manager, Sales & Sales Operations

Introduction

Stovve Food Group is a food processing company, manufacturing a range of Ready To Eat (R2E) products for the HORECA Sales Channels of the Food Services industry in Singapore. We are building scalable R2E Food Business in 6 product categories with a new production plant opening in Johor. The company is involved in the production of Frozen Dough & Bakery products, Pastries, Straits Cakes & Desserts, R2E Meals, Sauces, Soups & Dips, R2E Culinary Products & Components.

Position Summary

We are looking for a dynamic General Manager to head our Sales & Sales Operations, who would be responsible for leading and overseeing the overall sales and operational performance of the company. The successful candidate will drive business growth, sales operational efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Lead the Sales and Sales Operations team located in Singapore and prospectively in Johor to achieve sales targets and key account customer acquisition goals.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for Foodservice, retail, wholesale, corporate accounts and institutional caterers.
  • Drive cross selling of Product Categories to key account customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements with key account customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Provide regular business performance reports and recommendations to the Directors.

Sales Operations Management

  • Monitor sales performance of key account customers, margins, pricing strategies, and individual key account customer profitability.
  • Oversee and ensure cost effective logistics and warehousing and finished goods inventory levels.
  • Forecasting of future key account revenues on a continuing basis.
  • Ensuring all sales orders are fulfilled by efficient management of sales support team.
  • Detailed forward planning to enable production teams to anticipate production requirement
  • Management of inventory and sales operations team through efficient databased communications with the respective production teams.
  • Drive initiatives to improve cash flow, operational efficiency, and overall profitability.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop departmental managers and supervisors.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in recruitment, succession planning, performance management, and employee development.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all departments.

Customer& Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
  • Address major customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company in meetings, industry events, and business networking opportunities.

Continuous Improvement & Digitalisation

  • Lead operational transformation and digitalisation initiatives.
  • Implement systems, technologies, and process improvements to enhance productivity and business performance.
  • Evaluate and recommend investments in equipment, technology, and infrastructure.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Food Science, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of senior management experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, bakery, central kitchen, or related industries.
  • Proven track record in both sales leadership and operations management.
  • Experience managing P&L and departmental budgets.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
