Job Summary

Responsible for managing procurement activities for power plant operations and projects, including sourcing, vendor management, RFQ preparation, purchase orders, and coordination with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure timely supply of materials and services.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and general plant materials to support power plant operations and projects
• Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and evaluate vendor quotations for technical and commercial compliance
• Issue purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner to meet project and operational needs
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of vendors and quotations to select optimal suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms to achieve cost-effective procurement outcomes
• Monitor material delivery status and proactively resolve procurement-related issues to avoid project delays
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in Power Plant, EPC, Oil & Gas, or Industrial environment
• Knowledge of industrial and power plant materials procurement

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills to facilitate effective supplier and internal stakeholder engagement
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment
