ROLE DEFINITION​

We are seeking a Global Business Finance Controller to support our Semiconductor Technologies segment and join our finance team and key business leaders located in Singapore for Qnity.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION ​

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:​

• The Global Business Finance Controller will serve as a key advisor to the Semiconductor Technologies segment, offering expert guidance on accounting policies, practices, and compliance requirements. This includes interpreting relevant financial regulations and standards to ensure that the business adheres to established accounting procedures and internal controls. The controller will collaborate closely with business leaders to address accounting-related challenges thus enabling them to make informed financial decisions that drive success. To facilitate this close collaboration, the role will be located in Singapore, strategically placed alongside the VP of Finance for the Semiconductor Technologies segment and other key business leaders.

• Collaborate with multiple functions and departments including Accounting Policy, Business Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Legal to ensure accurate financial accounting and reporting.

• Actively engage with Controllership leadership team for complex non-routine transactions and the related SOX controls impacts. Examples include acquisitions and divestitures, impairments of goodwill, intangible assets, and long-lived assets, revenue recognition, leases, sale / leaseback, derivatives, financing transactions, guarantees and indemnifications, exit and disposal activities, and foreign currency matters.

• Managing compliance with our internal controls framework including assisting the business during remediation efforts.

• Engage with external auditors to review and conclude technical accounting and internal control matters.

• Provide guidance and report updates to key company personnel.

 JOB QUALIFICATIONS​

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (MBA is a plus)
• CPA or country equivalent required
• Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC Reporting
• 10+ years of experience with Big 4 or a combination of industry related experience in an accounting policy role
• Strong oral and written skills
• Self-directed and accountable
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Works well in teams with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
