Graduate Analyst - Compliance

As a Graduate Analyst at LMAX Group, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced legal and compliance professionals, gaining valuable insight into the regulatory landscape of financial markets, particularly in FX and cryptocurrency trading.

Key Responsibilities:

AML Monitoring and Reporting:

• Complete holistic client reviews to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations including on-going KYC, and transaction monitoring.
• Assist in the preparation of AML reports for the MLRO and regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Assist in monitoring the company’s adherence to internal policies, external regulations, and legal standards.
• Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Regulatory Research and Analysis:

• Conduct research on regulatory developments in global financial markets, with a focus on FX and cryptocurrency regulations.
• Analyze the impact of new and existing regulations on LMAX Group's operations and provide detailed reports to the Legal and Compliance team.

Policy Development and Implementation:

• Support the development, review, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
• Work with various departments to ensure policies are understood and correctly applied across the organization.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential legal and compliance risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Assist in the review of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure they comply with relevant laws and internal policies.

Training and Awareness:

• Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs for staff to enhance understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Help organize workshops and informational sessions to keep employees updated on compliance-related matters.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure that all compliance and legal obligations are integrated into business processes.
• Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing the overall compliance and legal framework of the organization.

Skills and Qualifications:

• A recent graduate with a strong academic background in Law, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and legal documents.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all compliance and legal matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and regulatory concepts clearly.
• Strong sense of integrity and ethical judgment, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of compliance.
• Basic understanding of financial services, particularly in trading and investment, is advantageous. Familiarity with compliance software or tools is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, collaborating with colleagues across different departments.
• A keen interest in financial markets and the regulatory environment, particularly in FX and cryptocurrencies.
