Hair Salon Manager

Job Summary

Manage and lead daily salon operations to deliver excellent customer service, supervise and develop staff, oversee scheduling and inventory, and support marketing and recruitment efforts to drive salon success and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily salon operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure smooth workflow and service delivery
• Supervise hairstylists, assistants, receptionists, and other salon staff to maintain team performance and service quality
• Create and manage staff schedules and attendance to optimize resource allocation and meet client demand
• Train, support, and motivate team members to enhance skills and foster a positive work environment
• Ensure high standards of customer service and client satisfaction through proactive engagement and quality control
• Handle client complaints or concerns professionally to resolve issues and maintain client loyalty
• Monitor salon cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards to comply with health regulations and create a safe environment
• Manage bookings, appointments, and walk-in clients efficiently to maximize salon capacity and client convenience
• Track sales, services, and retail product performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
• Order and manage salon supplies, products, and equipment to maintain adequate inventory and operational readiness
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and inventory to support business analysis and decision-making
• Support marketing promotions and client retention activities to increase customer base and repeat business
• Ensure staff follow company policies and industry regulations to uphold professional standards and compliance
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees to build a competent and cohesive team

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Previous experience in salon management, beauty, or customer service
• Good knowledge of hair salon services and products
• Sales and retail experience is an advantage
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed
• Professional appearance and friendly attitude
