Hardware Embedded Engineer

Our client is transforming the cleaning industry with advanced robotic solutions that tackle manpower challenges. Their innovative robots are already making a difference in 30 countries! As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Hardware Embedded Engineer (Senior) to join their team.

As a Hardware Embedded Engineer (Senior), you'll design and develop embedded hardware, optimize performance, ensure industry compliance, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, document, and develop optimized hardware solutions.
• Conduct testing, bug fixing, and improve hardware performance.
• Perform PCB layout design and schematic capture.
• Create and maintain PCB library, schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Prepare documentation and plans to support product certification and approval processes.
• Assist in troubleshooting product issues during production and in-service stages.
• Perform logical design tasks, including creating netlists and routing rules based on customer-provided information.
• Carry out PCB physical layout tasks such as parts placement, routing, and trace length adjustments.
• Apply electrical knowledge in high-speed, RF, and power PCB design to meet project requirements.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable by working with PCB suppliers and applying best practices to optimize cost and yield.
• Verify internal design tools and provide feedback to the development team.
• Develop design processes to reduce cycle time, minimize defects, and enhance product performance.
• Prepare detailed design documents and support training requirements.
  

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant PCB design experience.
• Experience with designs involving 6+ layer PCBs.
• Strong background in analog and mixed-signal PCB design, and experience working with PCB manufacturers to improve manufacturability.
• Proficient in logical net listing, schematic design, electrical rule creation, and signal/power integrity optimization.
• Solid knowledge of EMI/EMC handling and ESD precautions.
• Experience with blind, buried, and micro vias is a plus.
• Scripting skills in languages like Skill, Python, or others are advantageous.
• Experience in RF backplane, electrical package design/routing, and familiarity with robotics, automotive testing, or ATE industries is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and good communication abilities.
• Proven ability to meet project deadlines consistently.
