Job Description - Head of Commercial Vehicle Sales - Urgent Hiring

We are hiring a meticulous Head of Commercial Vehicle Sales to join our exceptional team at ComfortDelGro Engineering Pte Ltd in Braddell, Central Region.

ComfortDelGro Engineering (“CDGE”) is going through an exciting transformation journey. CDGE has more than 40 years’ experience providing automotive services for taxis as well as private and commercial vehicles. We are also the exclusive distributor for KYC Electric Commercial Vehicle, Volvo Bus & Parts, Davanti and Duraturn Tyres.

As Singapore moves towards adopting Electric Vehicles, the industry will see an increase in demand for safe handling of EVs. Therefore, CDGE collaborated with TÜV SÜD PSB to set up CDGE Academy to upskill technicians on safe handling of high-voltage system in EVs.

You should feel comfortable fronting the business to manage relationship with our principal (KYC) and dealers. To succeed in this role, you must be experienced in managing and motivating the sales team to build sales pipeline and nurture relationship with customers to secure and win deals.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationship with principal (KYC) and dealers,
  • Responsible for sales strategy, product and customer analysis,
  • Manage and motivate sales team to build sales pipeline and convert into sales,
  • Understand market demand and customer needs,
  • End-to-end handling of tenders, work with Finance to prepare Business Case, Approval paper and Commercial proposals for tender submission,
  • Foster and maintain relationship with potential and existing customers,
  • Manage sales forecast and vehicle inventory to balance service delivery and excess inventory, and
  • Any ad-hoc tasks

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in automotive B2B commercial sales and relationship management
  • Ability to generate leads and identify strategic areas for growth
  • Experienced in handling tenders, taking lead to prepare commercial proposals and present to customers to secure and win deals
  • Driven, strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to influence and build credible, trusting customer relationships
  • Well versed in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English, and Mandarin is a plus in order to communicate with our Chinese Business Partners and understand contracts wordings.
