Head of IT Strategic Procurement

Role Summary

A senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic procurement and sourcing activities for technology initiatives at a leading bank, focusing on complex contract negotiations and supplier management.

Our client is leading bank in Asia with over 500 branches across 19 countries, operating for more than 80 years.

Key Responsibilities

The role heads a team of 4 procurement managers and provides strategic leadership in technology procurement, including:

1. Acting as a strategic procurement partner to senior management
2. Leading complex technology contract negotiations
3. Developing and implementing IT procurement strategies
4. Establishing and strengthening strategic supplier partnerships
5. Leading the review and negotiation of approximately 2,500 contracts annually including MSAs and NDAs.
6. Overseeing RFPs, commercial and regulatory contract negotiations, supplier due diligence, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
7. Defining and implementing Bank‑wide IT procurement strategies, working closely with Technology stakeholders in Singapore and across countries to ensure a structured sourcing approach and optimal value realization from the supply market.
8. Developing and strengthening long‑term strategic supplier partnerships and alliances to support and enable the bank's technology roadmap.

4. Proven track record in high-pressure procurement environments
