Head of Legal and Compliance

We are actively seeking a highly qualified Legal and Compliance professional with 15+ years of experience in the financial sector, with expertise in securities trading, equities, corporate finance, capital markets and private equity.

In this pivotal role, you will:

1. Oversee legal and compliance functions across Singapore entities, managing all legal aspects and associated compliance risks.
2. Provide legal advice to various business lines; draft, review, and negotiate a spectrum of legal documents and agreements.
3. Establish close collaboration with stakeholders and offer counsel to business units on legal and corporate governance matters.
4. Drive compliance strategy while ensuring the highest standards in regulatory and financial crime compliance.
5. Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing compliance team.

1. Qualified legal and compliance professional with a Bachelor of Laws, and experience in general corporate, asset management or equity derivatives gained from distinguished institutions.
2. Proven leadership skills, with strong analytical abilities and sound judgement.
3. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
4. A strong command of spoken and written English is required, whilst a strong command of Chinese (Mandarin) would be considered, as the role involves significant liaison with Chinese stakeholders.
