Job Profile Summary

Transport & Logistics (T&L) is a global, multi-product platform providing dedicated coverage for our relationships with T&L sector clients.

The Head T&L Singapore is responsible for the commercial performance of T&L sector in Singapore and drives P&L targets and steers on risk/return.

The T&L organization consists of six subsectors: Automotive, Aviation, Containers, Logistics, Land Transport and Shipping. It is a global organization with dedicated teams in countries across EMEA, APAC and Americas. The sector consists of approximately 60 FTEs of which 5 FTEs support the T&L Sector in Singapore.

Leading and developing a high performing team of Transport & Logistics sector bankers in Singapore and covering the T&L sector clients in Singapore. Delivering T&L sector P&L across the entire wholesale banking product suite of the bank, managing the Land transport and Logistics sector portfolio, foster collaboration with product teams to ensure effective coverage and delivery of wholesale banking solutions to clients, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

TL&A:

• Providing strategic direction and leadership to an experienced team of sector bankers in Singapore covering TL&A clients in Singapore, including ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Ongoing coaching and mentoring to the team, ensuring pro-active performance and personal development to instill a high-performance culture and achieve target results.
• Managing the transaction origination of sector lending transactions, taking a lead role when required. Managing the sector loan portfolio and ensure a strong credit culture within the team.
• Ensure compliance with applicable internal policies and requirements covering credit, operational and regulatory risk. Maintain portfolio reporting accuracy and data quality.
• Identify, onboard and maintain PAM, LAM sector client relationships, working in conjunction with ING product and country coverage teams.
• Leading the business development for ING's lending and non-lending products to existing and target PAM, LAM sector clients, seeking to maximize the opportunities for bank-wide revenue generation through cross-sell.
• Directly supporting Gerbrand Vroegop (Regional Head of T&L APAC) on Singapore internal & external TL&A related topics, particularly when related to the Head T&L Singapore direct reports.
• Recruiting and coaching international colleagues on a short-term assignment with T&L APAC and interns, ensuring pro-active performance and personal development to instill a high-performance culture.

Land Transport and Logistics:

• Defining/developing regional sector strategy for ING's wholesale banking business for the Land Transport and Logistics sectors in line with global sector strategy, including selection of target sub-sectors, geographies, clients and products.
• Coordinate and foster collaboration with wholesale banking product and country teams to ensure effective coverage of sector clients and delivery of lending and non-lending products/services to clients.
• Overseeing the identification, onboarding and maintenance of sector client relationships, working in conjunction with ING product and country coverage teams.
• Overseeing the business development for ING's lending and non-lending products to existing and target sector clients, seeking to maximize the opportunities for bank-wide revenue generation through cross-sell.
• Providing strategic direction and leadership to an experienced team of Land Transport and Logistics sector bankers in the countries
• Identify and monitor developments and opportunities within the sector, updating strategy when necessary to maintain a competitive and focused business. Continue to maintain as current, knowledge of the sector, competitors, products and macro-economic trends/issues.
• Directly supporting Juliette van Enckevort (Global Lead Land Transport) and Nadia Lonneux (Global Lead Logistics) on ING's strategy for Land Transport and Logistics, including drafting of relevant parts of the Commercial Strategy Papers.

Special Duties:

• Performing the role of deputy to the Regional Head of T&L APAC, Gerbrand Vroegop, taking ownership of regional internal and external topics when Gerbrand Vroegop is not available.
