Hedge Fund - ASIA Head of Facilities Management (Singapore or HK)

My Client is a Global Macro Hedge fund who are looking to hire an experienced existing Head of Facilities or Facilities Manager to be based in either Hong Kong or Singapore.

The person hired will run Facilities for both regions. Due to the nature of the role, experience within a financial services firm is imperative and ideally experience with direct electric / back up power. The role reports to the Global Head of Facilities who is based in New York. This role requires 5 days a week in the office.

Day to day responsibilities will cover:

1.  Act as primary point of contact for all issues with the office, and is responsible for coordinating the relationship with the building management team
2.  Collaborate with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
3.  Coordinate building security and maintenance services
4.  Ensure all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with regulations
5.  Ensure office is organized and meets the standards of all offices
6.  Ensure security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly
7.  Ensure tea points are fully stocked and well maintained
8.  Ensure the efficiency of all building systems
9.  Manage facilities planning and space allocation
10.  Monitor office supplies and order new stationery, furniture, appliances and electronics as required
11.  Organize maintenance companies to keep the office clean and safe and ensure its appliances are in good working order
12.  Perform routine maintenance on facilities and make repairs as needed
13.  Report office progress to senior management and work with them to improve office operations and procedures

To be Qualified for the role, it is likely you will demonstrate:

1. 8 - 12 years of experience in a maintenance supervision position or other related field
2. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, business management or another related field is preferred
3. Advanced knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems
4. Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
5. Comfortable in a fast-paced, complex and highly matrixed environment
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members
7. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and demonstrate a sense of urgency
8. Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
9. Proactive and motivated while demonstrating a results-oriented mindset
