about the job

This is a individual contributor role based in Singapore offering significant visibility to leadership and the chance to shape the underwriting function for a growing segment. You will be required to evaluate and manage complex high net worth life insurance applications with a focus on medical and financial risk assessment. The ideal incumbent will utilize significant individual underwriting authority to provide technical expertise on high value cases.

Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and leadership to enhance and build out regional underwriting processe. Deliver high quality risk decisions while maintaining a strong balance between commercial needs and technical discipline. Contribute to the development of underwriting guidelines and best practices within a specialized, lean team environment.

skills and experience required

• 8+ years of experience in life underwriting and ideally with authority above SGD 5 Million
• Proven track record of handling high net worth cases or high value life insurance products (VUL ideally)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively as a senior technical expert in a collaborative team.
