Job Description - Housekeeping Executive (Hospitality)

  • Ensure general cleanliness of the rooms, common areas and public areas (i.e. landscape, swimming pool, carpark) are maintained consistently and in good condition as per company’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all linens are inspected for tears, discoloration, etc from time to time in accordance to company’s standards.
  • Conduct weekly room inspections to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and the rooms are maintained in good condition.
  • Ensure effective pest control system is in place.
  • Train outsource / in-house housekeeping staff on proper housekeeping procedures and the appropriate discharge of duties.
  • Monitor working schedules of housekeeping staff to ensure adequate manning, supplies and equipment for staff to carry out their duties.
  • Handles guest queries / comments / complaints professionally and refer and irregularities / issues to Management, when necessary.
  • Ensure that the lost and found items are recorded and handled according to company’s policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory list of all assets within each assigned room, including additions and disposal of such asset
  • Conduct a detailed yearly inventory stock take to ensure accuracy of the inventory list.
  • Conduct regular checks and raise any defects on the condition of fixtures and fittings and building components of the apartment prior to check-in and after check-out.
  • Ensure all cleaning products and equipment in various forms are maintained in good condition as per safety guidelines and procedures of the company.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations concerning cleaning products and equipment, order and maintain sufficient inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain clear and efficient communication and coordination with various departments to facilitate work performance.
  • Conduct performance appraisal review of housekeeping staff and provides guidance/feedback when needed.
  • Assist Residence Manager in the preparation of annual property budget for the housekeeping department.
  • Perform any other duties as required and directed by Management.

Other information:

  • 6-day work week
  • Up to 8 working hours per day including 1 hour break for meal, or 44 hours a week
  • Meal allowance
