Job Description - HR General Manager

HR General Manager

Our client is the regional headquarters for APAC, a renowned consumer, solution, and industrial components and devices manufacturer. Their core mission is to perform governance over regional subsidiaries and provide shared services. 
 

In the HR Director position, you will support the HR Director, manage subordinates, provide shared services to various companies within the Singapore group, and oversee the HRBP function that supports internal departments within the company.

【What you will be working on】
- Assist the Director and execute the company business plan from an HR perspective and assign tasks (missions) to HR members.
- Review the HR shared services menu, charging model, and business processes
- Conclude service contracts with group companies and engage in continuous communication to improve services
- Propose and promote HR solutions to internal departments as an HRBP
- Monitor market trends and update management with best practices
- Lead all subsidiary's HR reporting and data, utilizing HR metrics and ensuring that all HR needs of the company are being met and aligned with business objectives
- Review and align existing performance processes/systems and compensation frameworks, linking rewards to performance
- Maintain compliance with legislation and regulations

Example of projects what you will be expected:
- Streamline and enhance business processes using digital technologies
- Plan, propose, and promote HR solutions based on data analysis
- Review the shared service model and negotiate with group companies
- Review HR policies for recruitment, retention, and succession planning
- Develop and manage performance appraisal processes
- Ensure effective communication channels and promote corporate culture, philosophy and purpose
- Implement training programs
- Source and liaise with service providers for revision of employee benefits

 

【 What they are offering 】
- Working style:40% onsite, 60% remote
- AWS(Pro-ration for new hires)
- Variable Bonus (Depending on company and individual performance)
- Annual Leave: 18 days (max 20 days, with 1 day increase for every 2 years)
- Medical Leave: 14 days
- Medical Insurance Package (covered under the company's medical insurance. They can cover medical benefits for up to 4 of their dependents (both non-working spouses and children).
- Transportation allowance: $170

 

【 What they are looking for 】
<Must>
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant equivalent
- At least 15 years of HR experience with a minimum of 5-10 years in a managerial role (Senior Manager level or equivalent would be preferable) in a company whose size is over 100 employees in Singapore 
- Possess working experience in a Japanese company for over 5 years and understand its culture.
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations in Singapore
- Strong experience in HR operations and HR planning (strategy development and implementation of HR policy).
- Possess strong leadership qualities and strategic business acumen with excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting, meticulous with an eye for detail and willing to promote HRDX.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong ability in influencing, communicating and business partnering / stakeholder management skills

<Preferable>
- Experience in HQ HR experience which supports subsidiaries.
- Proficiency in Japanese at a business level (preferred, as the reporting line involves a Japanese HQ)
- Experience in General Affairs and Admin is a plus.
- Experience in listed entities, and strong international exposure will be a plus(can be a career path in the future)
