Job Description - HSE Manager (Automotive Industry)

  • Perm with VB
  • Must be a Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably within industrial, logistics, warehousing, automotive, facilities, or multi-site operational environments.
  • Prior experience overseeing multiple sites or operational environments is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead workplace health, safety, and environmental initiatives across multiple operational sites. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, driving workplace safety standards, mitigating operational risks, and promoting a strong safety culture across showroom and warehouse environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with operations teams, site leaders, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure safe and compliant day-to-day operations.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and management systems across multiple sites.
  • Ensure full compliance with Singapore workplace safety, health, and environmental regulations, including requirements from regulatory authorities.
  • Perform duties as a registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) and ensure workplace compliance with statutory obligations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations, including reporting and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and occupational safety issues, and prepare reports with preventive recommendations.

Multi-Site Operations & Stakeholder Management

  • Oversee workplace safety initiatives across showroom and warehouse operations, ensuring consistent implementation of safety practices.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders, site operations teams, contractors, and vendors to maintain safe operational standards.
  • Manage contractor safety compliance, permit controls, and workplace risk mitigation programmes.

Training & Safety Culture

  • Lead and coordinate safety training, inductions, drills, and awareness programmes to strengthen workplace safety culture.
  • Promote proactive safety practices and continuous improvement initiatives across operational teams.
  • Support emergency preparedness and fire safety activities where required.

Reporting & Leadership

  • Monitor and track HSE performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Lead, guide, and influence teams to drive compliance and operational safety standards across multiple sites.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM, Singapore is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably within industrial, logistics, warehousing, automotive, facilities, or multi-site operational environments.
  • Prior experience overseeing multiple sites or operational environments is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive safety initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, contractor safety management, and compliance reporting.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
