Infrastructure Engineer

Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Infrastructure Engineer (Backend- VMware):

Job Responsibilities

• Provide first-level on-site support for end-user operations.
• Understand complex technical issues and resolve them in a fast-paced business environment.
• Maintain, manage, administer, and operate VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon VDI environments and applications.
• Perform daily administration tasks for VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon VDI, including maintenance, upgrades, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Monitor, alert, and fine-tune VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon VDI environments.
• Assess risks related to virtual machines, VMware vSphere, and VMware Horizon VDI applications, and perform contingency planning.
• Troubleshoot VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon VDI workloads, and assist with researching, evaluating, and recommending related hardware, software, and services.
• Stay current on virtual machine, VMware vSphere, and VMware Horizon VDI technologies.
• Provide on-call, 24x7 support and participate in a rotating standby schedule. Implement corrective procedures to minimize unplanned system outages.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to support efficient planning and execution.
• Coordinate with external parties and clients for problem resolutions.
• Perform additional tasks and support special projects as needed.
• Lead the post-delivery team, as necessary, to manage post-delivery projects related to:
• Inventory Asset List
• Maintenance reports (e.g., installation, incident, preventive maintenance, ISO, Managed Services)
• Preventive maintenance schedules and ad hoc tasks

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting enterprise desktop environments, with strong technical expertise in VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon VDI.
• Technically inclined with strong hands-on skills.
• Advantageous skills include experience with supporting virtualized environments on desktop, OS, client applications, and mobile devices. Operating System skills in: Windows Clients/Servers, Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
• Experience with Backup and Recovery Applications
• Knowledge of Workspace ONE, Zimperium, OnTalk, and other client applications for administration, support, and operations
• Proficient in the ITIL Framework.
• Exceptional customer focus and professional acumen.
• Strong vendor management skills.
• Skilled in quality escalation management, exception handling, cost management, contract renewals, and ensuring all SLAs are met.

Additional Information:

• Salary: Up to SGD 5,200 +AWS +VB (2 - 3 Months)
• Working Location: East
