Innovation and Business Development Manager (R&D)

As a practice of “the world is our R&D centre”, we are actively connecting Haier to the global innovation communities so that the brightest minds across all fields can see the areas that Haier is pursuing, and recommend solutions, contacts or resources to fulfil these needs.

We are currently looking for Innovation and Business Development Manager (R&D) to further support the growing needs from business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Basedin Singapore, you will be part of the global resource sharing platform (HOPEGlobal) to identify opportunities in the R&D field, further drive theresources growth and strengthen R&D strategic relationships. The keyresponsibilities include:

·      Generate and develop innovationopportunities by identifying suitable technologies and translating them intopractical adoption pathways for Haier products. Work closely with internalbusiness units, R&D teams, and product stakeholders to demonstrate value,build use cases, and secure buy-in from internal customers for technologyadoption and commercialization.

·      Buildup the innovation ecosystem based on Haier’s need which might include but notlimit to the following services: global technology scouting, technologydecomposition analysis, expert consultation, joint development projects.

·       Proven ability to cultivate and maintainstrong relationships and diverse partnerships with a wide range of globalecosystem stakeholders, including government agencies, universities, start-ups,venture capital firms, incubators, and industry associations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

The idealcandidate we are looking for should be a seasoned R&D professional with:

·      A minimum bachelor’s degree in science orengineering is required for this role, with a PhD/Masters considered an addedadvantage;

·      Demonstrates a strong understanding of technologywith a proactive and adaptable approach to exploring and staying updated onemerging technologies and evolving industry trends;

·      Excellent communication and interpersonalskills in both English and Chinese (to liaise with Mandarin speakingstakeholders).

·      Strong communication skills to articulate goals,responsibilities, expectations, and feedback effectively across all levels.

·      Confidence, optimism, and the ability to workcollaboratively in teams.
