A globally recognised, member‑based financial markets organisation is seeking an Institutional Investor Relationships professional to join its APAC team, covering markets excluding China.

The organisation is widely respected for its independent research, data‑driven insights and thought leadership within the global investment community. Working closely with institutional investors worldwide, it plays a key role in informing long‑term portfolio construction and strategic asset‑allocation thinking across regions.

The Role Reporting to the Head of Institutional Investor Relationships, APAC ex‑China, this role focuses on building, deepening and sustaining relationships with institutional investors across Asia‑Pacific.

You will act as a key point of engagement for investors, supporting high‑quality dialogue around market developments and portfolio considerations, while strengthening the organisation’s position as a trusted and credible industry resource. The role offers significant external exposure and close collaboration with internal research, strategy and communications teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage long‑term relationships with institutional investors across APAC, with a core focus on Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand
• Engage investment consultants, pension funds, asset managers, private banks, family offices, fiduciary managers and professional trustees
• Articulate market insights and portfolio‑level perspectives to support informed investment discussions
• Deliver presentations, briefings and market updates in both one‑on‑one and group settings
• Represent the organisation at industry conferences, panels, investor roundtables and client events
• Collaborate closely with internal research, asset allocation and communications teams on broader institutional initiatives
• Gather and relay investor feedback to inform regional messaging and research priorities
• Respond to investor enquiries with timely, well‑supported insights
• Maintain accurate records of engagement activity and contacts using a CRM system
• Contribute ideas and initiatives that enhance investor engagement and regional impact

Ideal Background

• 10+ years’ experience within the asset management, investment or broader financial services industry
• Background in institutional client coverage, relationship management, client servicing or advisory roles, ideally from an asset management environment
• Comfortable engaging senior investment professionals on portfolio construction, macroeconomic trends and financial markets
• Strong client‑facing presence with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and credibly

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Finance, Economics or a related discipline
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Additional Asian language capability (e.g. Mandarin, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia) is advantageous
• Strong presentation skills and comfort working with financial data and research
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Working knowledge of CRM systems
