Job Description - Integration and Field Support Engineer (IFSE)

Job Description:

Are you passionate by the IT world and interested in working in a diverse and international environment? Then join us into our growing Agnet Mission Critical (MCX) business. 

We are looking for an Integration and Field Support Engineer (IFSE) to join our team in Singapore. You will support Trials/Proof of Concepts (PoC), project implementation and maintenance phases of our regional business, through design, integration, upgrade and troubleshooting activities.

Your overall mission:

  • The Integration and Field Support Engineer (IFSE) activity is structured over three areas:

  • Ensuring the proper integration of the Agnet solution in the customer environment during the deployment phase of customer projects. The IFSE is involved from design to commissioning

  • Performing maintenance and upgrade of deployed Agnet systems. The IFSE processes the customer reported technical queries and incidents (Incident Management). Investigation of the incidents is done following the defined support procedures. The IFSE also informs the customers and authorized contact persons of the processing status. He/ she is responsible for ensuring that the contractually agreed service levels are met. He/ she initiates Problem Management and provides necessary indications in the case of reproducible system errors

  • Playing a key role in ensuring that Trials/PoCs are successful, in an innovative environment where specific solutions may be developed and/or deployed

This is a truly international position where you get to work closely with colleagues in France and in Finland as well as our customers who are located in APAC. 

Your detailed mission:

  • Understand the IT and applicative environment in which Agnet will be integrated

  • Design, implement, integrate and commission the Airbus MCX solution for Trials/PoCs and commercial projects in the customer environment (4G/5G network including Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) for Quality of Service (QoS) management, Control Room…)

  • Support Trials/PoCs specific integration and testing activities

  • Configure the IT infrastructure (Network Address Translation (NAT) for Agnet Servers, Firewall, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) Server, Session Traversal Utilities for NAT (STUN) server, external Domain Name System (DNS) server…) when relevant, especially for Trials/PoCs

  • Perform maintenance activities including troubleshooting. The IFSE is raising cases to Level 3 when needed and therefore is coordinating with our expert center

  • Plan and perform upgrades 

  • Report within customer meetings, being owner of the cases. 

  • Contribute to and learn from international team support (methodology, training, lessons learned, common tools)

  • Support pre-sales activities

  • Other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company

Qualification and Professional Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in IT or Telecommunication, or related

  • Proven software deployment and integration experience (at least 3-5 years) in complex IT environments

  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise Linux distributions (administration and shell environments), Infrastructure as Code/configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer), virtualization techniques, hypervisor environments, microservices and containerization (Kubernetes and Docker) 

  • Knowledge of 4G/5G systems, including TCP/IP, routing, switching

  • Awareness of security threats and corresponding security know-how

  • Fluent spoken and written English
