Integration, Verification & Validation (IVVQM) – ATM

Job is based in Singapore.

Our client is a global leader in Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems are hiring an Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification Manager (IVVQM) to help deliver a major ATM system modernisation programme in Singapore. They are looking for engineers who have done this work on real ATM programmes and want to build the next generation of air traffic systems.

As IVVQ Manager you will define and run the IV&V strategy for a complex ATM system, making sure the overall solution meets all contractual, operational and regulatory requirements and is fit for purpose. You will lead, guide and mentor the IVV team so that project IVV objectives and milestones are delivered on schedule.

This role is based in Singapore, so you must be willing to relocate and live there. Flights and relocation costs are covered by the client.

Responsibilities

* Define the project IVV and transition strategy.

* Develop and maintain the IVVQ Plan

* Define and monitor IVV KPIs and recommend ways to improve performance and productivity.

* Take an active part in Program Increment (PI) planning and backlog refinement, including effort estimation.

* Lead IVV technical gate reviews, both internally and with the customer

* Contribute to the capitalisation and continuous improvement of IVV practices.

* Identify risks early and propose effective mitigations.

* Take part in configuration control boards (CCBs) and make defect priority recommendations.

* Take part in internal and external technical working groups and technical status reviews.

* Promote knowledge sharing and make sure work is captured for reuse across projects.

* Support bids and produce or review engineering cost estimates for modification proposals to the functional baseline.

* Support customer requirements analysis, proposing and negotiating solutions that work for both sides with customers across Asia Pacific and worldwide.

* Communicate clearly, in writing and verbally, with external customers.

* Manage customer scope in line with the approved baseline and schedule.

* Deliver in line with company processes and practices and contribute to their improvement.

Essential Experience

* Proven Air Traffic Management domain experience, including standards such as ICAO, Eurocontrol and AIDC

* 7+ years of test engineering experience on complex, software centric, safety critical systems

* 2+ years working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

* Solid knowledge of systems and software engineering lifecycles (e.g. EIA 632, ISO/IEC 15288)

* Advanced analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders in a complex environment.

* Solid experience leading and mentoring multiskilled engineering teams, building a collaborative and productive culture.

* Strong communication with project and engineering delivery managers, product owners, technical design authorities, specialty engineers and the wider engineering team

* Collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence

* Requirements, test and defect management systems

* Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or another relevant discipline

Desirable

* Product delivery using Agile and Lean methods (PDCA, Kanban, value stream mapping); experience of an Agile at Scale framework is a bonus.

* Programming and scripting: Java, C++, Ada, Python, Bash

* Linux/Unix development environments

* Experience upskilling and training new engineers
