Intern for Designing Human-AI Teams

Project Overview

We are seeking one or two student research interns to participate in the "T6: Designing Human-AI Teams" research project. This project is one of the main initiatives of the "Mens, Manus and Machina—How AI Empowers People, Institutions, and Cities in Singapore (M3S)" team (https://m3s.mit.edu/). Launched in 2023 as part of MIT's SMART program in Singapore, M3S applies AI and machine learning practically, addressing technology design, human skill development, and societal adaptation to AI, automation, and robotics, with the goal of creating inclusive, resilient solutions with global impact.

Job Description

• Explore how large language models can collaborate with humans, aiming to derive deeper insights
• Collaborate with the project team and other researchers to design, implement, and evaluate research projects
• Publish research results in top-tier conferences and journals, with focus on the human-LLM collaboration
• Perform other duties as needed

Job Requirements

• Currently full-time undergraduate/master/PhD student in Computer Science or related disciplines, with specialization in topics such as large language models
• Skills in one of the following:
  • Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Familiarity with fronend technology design such as React, TypeScript, and Node.js
  • Familiarity with machine learning pipeline, including dataset preprocessing, model building, and optimization
  • Others related skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

This role is based in Singapore and appointment is based on the internship period approved by the universities.
