Internal Audit Manager

Job Description:

Internal Audit Manager is responsible for leading and managing audit engagements, ensuring high-quality audit work from planning to completion.

• Plan and execute audit engagements with quality, on time and within budget across various business units, including underwriting, claims, actuarial functions, reinsurance, finance, risk management, compliance, operations, IT and the corporate functions
• Communicate audit engagement outcomes to key stakeholders, including the Board and management
• Prepare and deliver audit reports to senior management, sharing key insights, themes, trends, findings and recommendations
• Monitor closure of the audit issues
• Build and maintain solid relationships with executive management, internal stakeholders, the Group Office, external auditors and regulators
• Conduct audit work in line with the internal audit framework, applicable professional standards, and relevant regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of experience in internal auditing within the insurance sector
• Professional qualifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or CPA
• Good knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to the insurance or wider financial services industry
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills
• Strong understanding of internal audit standards and practices
• Good command of written and verbal English and Chinese (as the role involves effective communication with English and Chinese speaking stakeholders, and preparation of group office reports in Chinese regarding assigned tasks)
