IT Engineer

Job Purpose:
Assist the development of the SQE department by contributing to the daily IT operation and maintaining the high level of efficiency for all new models and engineering changes. Provide strong impetus to support continuous improvement in view of meeting all relevant KPIs for the company. Provide a framework with clear structure to build on the need to standardize and implement systems for greater clarity and efficiency. Focus on all software and hardware related to IT is properly installed and complements the line equipment to ensure smooth operation.

Key accountabilities:

• Support for the setup of all computers for production and office usage.
• Provide server maintenance and server back up.
• Setup and update all line equipment for software related equipment and maintain the system for operation purposes.
• Prepare the documents for Engineering change, SOP and new Model introduction for software related portions.
• Prepare and execute new model trial using UTQ and providing status updates to HQ.
• Participate in Security and IT audits for clients and provide CAR for IT related issues.
• Execute and troubleshoot line system and provide feedback to HQ on the issues.
• Control and manage the access for IT related functions and privileges for all departments.
• Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
• In charge of all improvement projects in the company ranging from admin functions to line operations and provide the programming expertise to automate the data reports, submission of documents and capturing and disposition of decision making in operations matters by setting up GUI and smooth data retrieval for the entire plant.
• Serve to provide support to HQ in source code for shopfloor system and propose improvements to existing framework to increase the efficiency of each department functions.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Graduate with a recognized professional software engineering or computer technology qualification.

2. 2-3 years relevant engineering, project and operational management experience

3. Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and presentation skills

4. Experience in using Visual Basic or Visual.net software application is required for improvement projects. Python or other programming software is also recognized.

5. Experience in using Microsoft SQL server for query and establishing data format and retrieval for database building is needed.

6. Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of self-confidence, drive and motivation.
