Responsibilities:

1. IT Infrastructure Management

• Take ownership of existing IT infrastructure, including network and server systems.
• Manage and optimize network resources to ensure reliability and performance.
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT systems.

2. Basic Cybersecurity Implementation

• Deploy and manage endpoint protection solutions to safeguard company assets.
• Configure and maintain firewall systems to protect against external threats.
• Monitor antivirus software and respond promptly to security incidents.
• Assist in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures.

3. Cloud Management

• Manage cloud infrastructure and services, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimization.
• Ensure data integrity and security in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement cloud-based solutions.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in cloud technology.

4. Data Storage and Backup

• Implement and maintain data storage solutions to ensure availability and reliability.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for critical data and systems.
• Monitor backup processes and perform regular tests to verify data integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data retention policies and procedures.

5. Network Management

• Manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and access points.
• Configure and maintain network protocols and services (e.g., DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access.

6. Server Management

• Administer server systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Monitor server health and performance and implement upgrades as necessary.
• Ensure server security and compliance with best practices and company policies.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

7. Disaster Recovery

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to mitigate the impact of system outages.
• Conduct regular disaster recovery drills and tests to validate recovery procedures.
• Document recovery processes and ensure staff are trained on their roles and responsibilities.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and effective response to incidents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Proficiency in basic cybersecurity concepts and tools (e.g., endpoint protection, firewall configuration, antivirus software).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with network management tools and protocols.
• Experience with server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
