JOB PURPOSE:
A) Working independently, is responsible to manage and lead a group of Maintenance staff in
achieving the best possible maintenance cost per wafer, equipment reliability, equipment
yield and throughput parameters.
B) Provide technical support and expertise on specific tools to Maintenance Specialist and Line
Support Staffs.
C) Translates the requirements of Production and Engineering needs into maintenance tasks
and work closely with them to achieve the overall committed targets in all aspects of
manufacturing parameters.
Equipment Reliability
A) Real time Production line support. Recommends, develops and implement corrective actions for resolving equipment or process problems that do not respond to normal method.
B) Lead a group of maintenance staff to carry out corrective and preventive maintenance in order to ensure that the equipment operate within specifications.
C) Lead a group of maintenance staff to implement equipment reliability and efficiency improvement and cost reduction projects by providing analysis tools & implementing
evaluation projects (second sourcing)
D) Tracks equipment performance through a knowledge of SPC, eSTAR alarms, cause stoppages and initiate action plans.
E) Recommends and uses special tools and test equipment as part of an overall diagnostic technique on complex system failures (eg Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, RGA, Leak Detector, etc)
F) Reviews and develops and approves appropriate PM procedures and checklist so as to improve operational performance of system equipment.
G) Updates and maintain all PM procedures & checklists electronically to align with the existing working process.
H) Plan consumables and spare parts to be available to service equipment.
I) Perform FMEA on all critical equipment or process. Study the practices and robustness of the existing procedures and introduced the best possible preventive and / or predictive improvement action based on facts
Expected Results

B) Meet ST WWS equipment parameters e.g OEE, Downtime, MTBF, MTTR
Equipment Capacity /Efficiency Improvement
A) Provide technical support to I.E. Facility and Hook Up Team on equipment capacity and throughput analysis, technical requirements for equipment under installation and
relocation.
B) Organize, leads and performs complex retrofits on equipment or startup within established time frames. Anticipates and corrects problems on retrofits before
installation.
C) Standardize all the operations and specifications of equipment which are of different versions, models and ages and which may be transferred from other sites, purchased
from second hand source or without equipment vendor’ssupport.
Expected Result
A) Improve equipment capacities and efficiencies
B) Maximize plant's production requirements.
C) Standardization of Equipment configuration and operations
Fab Yield Improvement
A) Ensure Fab yields are achieved through equipment Defectivity Improvement Program, participates and support small improvement projects by coordinating FIT team in the
line.
B) Interfaces between Engineering and Process Control to Interfaces between Engineering and Process Control to resolve redundant chronic failures issues.
Expected Result
A) Improve fab yield targets.

Team Efficiency
A) Provides leadership and technical resource for personnel within assigned modules. Utilizes resources and demonstrates resources management skills.
B) Identify training needs and organize skill training for the maintenance staffs thru, vendor training or internal training.
C) Trains and provides certification on in-depth technical knowledge / experiences to the maintenance staffs
D) Participates in sharing with PM Tech on knowledges / experience.
E) Ensure all training records and certification are properly documented with proper tracking in the Tracertrac System.(applicable to Training Liaison)
F) Develop any technical relevant training material as required.

A) Highly skilled manpower.
B) Always ensure stable and well trained workforce thru' consistent and well documented procedures.
Environment, Health & Safety
A) Maintain stringent safety standard, support CERT activities.
B) Promote Safety and Environmental awareness.
C) Explore into ways and means to maintain EHS programs Explore into ways and means to maintain EHS programs in daily work.
D) Lead by example to staff to maintain EHS mission and vision
E) Assess, manage and implement of Risk Work Plan.
F) Carry out duties in monitoring and maintenance of equipment and processes to ensure no wastage of resources such as Energy, Water, Chemicals and Gases,
and Eliminate or Minimal contamination to environment. (water, air or soil).
G) Plan, schedule and conduct Environmental and Safety audit, documentation and action follow-up.
H) Ensure Equipment RA is updated with respect to any changes related to general work place safety and Health
Expected Result
A) Achieve a Safe, Green and Healthy Environment.
B) Maintain the following Standard : EMAS ISO14001, QS9000
C) Adherence to Environmental Decalogues Safety Management Systems (MOM)
D) EHS policy.
E) Compliance to Corporate, local legislation.

Represents the Operation's expertise and reference for a given process/equipment area, gather the technical knowledge

Technical & regional role of department to benchmark / cross sharing of best practices, top issues action.

Ensure the quality of 8D with clear problem description, root cause, corrective and preventive action.\

LEAN Mindset
To drive operational excellence and quality
INTERNAL:
A) Daily; with Production and Engineering in prioritising and solving problems affecting production targets and wafer quality.
B) Informal; with IE & Central Support group in equipment installation/relocation and OEE improvement projects.
C) When required; with Facilites in resolving facilities-related problems
D) When required; with Purchasing, Store, Material Planner, Central Maintenance for all spare parts related issues
EXTERNAL:
A) When Required ; meet Equipment vendors on machine / process related improvement
B) When Required ; vendor meeting to discuss any equipment related outstanding issue.
C) When Required; with Local/overseas engineering company on technical services
D) When Required ; attend to Customer audit (through ST QA)
