Qualifications & experience

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Chef in a high-end Japanese restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Creativity in developing new menu items or specials.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality Japanese dishes in line with restaurant standards.
• Create visually appealing and innovative dishes for menu curation.
• Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients through proper handling, storage, and preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Team to deliver a consistent, exceptional dining experience. 
• Ordering of goods from suppliers and liaising with suppliers to procure seasonal items.
• Maintaining composure, speed and efficiency when working in a fast paced environment.
