Jewellery Designer Paya Lebar KATM (ID: 611748)

The Designer is responsible for all phases of design projects and ascertains the feasibility of implementing new products. He/she executes research to gather data, uncover new design ideas and translates research insights into design outcomes.

Job Requirement:

1. Deliver design output

• Plan out Design roadmaps
• Study design and preparing the innovative jewellery ideas using sketches, Illustrator, 3D drawing, and technically sound drawings.
• Research and development of new designs - Drawings (2D and CAD)
• Identify with expertise and design innovative and attractive jewellery pieces in accordance to brand product strategy along with target cost points.
• Generate concept and platform boards as seasonal jewellery trend presentation.
• Create the layouts, technical drawings, according to requirements.
• Identify and develop cutting-edge fashion direction and interpret such key trends to in-season analysis to spearhead designs.

2. Merchandising and Trend-setting

• Participate in general merchandising planning and buying for Poh Heng brands as well as other product collections
• Research trends’ suitability for Poh Heng. (through physical external store visits and Internet/social media references)
• Market Research on:
• Market Trends
• Competitors
• Presentation to teams on findings and analysis for future planning
• Design story compilation
• Product trend roadmap planning

Requirement

• Min Diploma in Fine Jewellery Design
• Min 1 year of relevant work experience in retail jewellery
• Proficient in computer design software, 2D (Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D (Rhino and 3D Max)
• Provide judgement on the aesthetic appeal of design introspection and analyzing the design’s ability to connect with target audience
• Ability to translate ideas into design solutions
• Sketch and prepare 3D designs and technical specifications for brand appropriate and trending products
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
