Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) or ARC(S) is a non-profit charity organisation dedicated to serving individuals on the autism spectrum throughout their lives. Based in Singapore, ARC(S) offers a range of services and resources tailored to meet the growing concerns and needs of the autism community including the Employability and Employment Centre (E2C). 

The team at Employability and Employment Centre (E2C) provides structured employment services for adults on the autism spectrum, supporting them through employability training, job placement and workplace support. Through assessment, vocational training, job matching and long-term workplace coaching, E2C enables adults to develop the skills and confidence needed to secure and sustain employment, while partnering with employers to create more inclusive workplaces. 

As a Job Coach, your Impact and Contribution includes: 

Key Responsibilities 

Client Assessment & Individualised Coaching 

  • Conduct employability and workplace assessments for adult clients to identify their strengths, interests, learning needs and areas for development. 
  • Develop and implement individualised coaching plans using autism-friendly teaching and coaching strategies.  
  • Coach adult clients in job-specific and workplace skills to build their readiness for employment and ability to perform effectively in the workplace. 
  • Observe, evaluate and document clients' progress, adapting coaching strategies based on individual needs.  
  • Support clients across different stages of their employment journey, from vocational training to workplace integration and long-term employment support.  

Workplace Support & Employer Engagement 

  • Conduct workplace assessments to understand job requirements and identify suitable job matches for clients.  
  • Provide on-site job coaching to help clients learn job tasks, workplace routines and expected work behaviours.  
  • Work closely with employers and supervisors to implement appropriate workplace supports that enable clients to succeed.  
  • Act as a liaison between clients, employers and families to address workplace challenges and facilitate successful employment outcomes.  
  • Educate and support employers in creating autism-inclusive workplaces and promoting sustainable employment.  

 

Collaboration & Case Management 

  • Work collaboratively with employers, families and team members to provide person-centred employment support for adult clients, equipping clients with the skills needed to prepare for, secure and sustain employment. 
  • Maintain timely case documentation, progress reports and communication with key stakeholders.  
  • Participate actively in case discussions, professional development and continuous learning to strengthen autism-specific knowledge and coaching practices.  


Requirements
  • Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Candidates with relevant experience in coaching, education, training, employment services, workforce development, vocational training, employer engagement or other people-centred professions are encouraged to apply. Experience working with adults will be an advantage. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage clients, employers, families and other stakeholders.  
  • Strong coaching, facilitation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt coaching strategies to meet individual client needs.  
  • Organised and able to manage multiple clients, workplace assignments and competing priorities in a dynamic environment. 
  • Driven and committed to achieving meaningful and sustainable employment outcomes, with a strong focus on clients' growth, independence and employment success. 
  • Able to analyse job tasks and break down workplace requirements into practical, achievable steps for adult clients. 
  • Able to travel regularly to employer worksites, including multiple locations within a day.
