Junior DevOps Platform Engineer (3838)

Job Description

We are looking for a Junior DevOps Platform Engineer to join a dynamic technology team supporting financial market applications and trading systems. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and automation tools, ensuring smooth deployment and operation of applications. You will collaborate closely with development teams to enhance reliability, security, and efficiency across environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.


• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.


• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues.


• Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.


• Stay updated on emerging DevOps technologies and trends.


• Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps culture and processes.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of UNIX platforms and database management systems (SQL, Oracle, Sybase, Big Data).


• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell).


• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Ansible, Jenkins, Maven, Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, Kafka, Confluence, Jira, and MQ Series.


• Hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes and AWS cloud services.

Functional Knowledge:

• Exposure to capital market applications and trading systems, ideally within Market Risk or Front Office operations.


• Understanding of financial products such as Treasury, FX, Credit, IRD, Bonds, and RSF.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting banking applications and trading systems.


• Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages (Java, .NET).


• Knowledge of microservices and domain-driven design (Spring Boot).
