Junior Product Designer (1 Year Contract)

As a designer at SWAT, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our users have a great end-to-end experience. You'll design elegant and delightful product experiences as part of an integrated team, working closely with product managers and engineers to refine our current product and grow new concepts through design exploration, ideation, and user validation.

• Able to build a deep understanding and a high degree of empathy for users


• Great attention to detail


• Comfortable experimenting and iterating on ideas


• Welcomes criticism, feedback and can defend design decisions for the good of the product and customer


• Love validating product designs with customers


• Enjoys gathering insights, conducting user research and interviews


• Creates prototypes to test out new ideas and improve existing features


• Enjoys collaborating closely with other designers, developers, and other team members


• Able to work independently

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of digital product design experience


• Positive attitude


• Strong command of visual design, interaction design, and information architecture


• Capable of communicating and prototyping interactions rapidly at all levels of fidelity


• Familiar with working with design systems


• Know your way around Figma


• Comfortable with user research and utilising data to inform decisions


• A propensity for experimentation


• An inclusive and thoughtful approach to your colleagues and peers


• Basic understanding of of user-centred design principles
