Junior Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Planning and Design:
   • Review, interpret, and ensure compliance with technical specifications, design drawings, and plans.
   • Assist in the development and updating of project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project manager.
2. Project Coordination and Execution:
   • Coordinate project activities, including site inspections, material and resource allocation, and on-site personnel management.
   • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to align on project progress and resolve issues.
3. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
   • Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure that work meets established standards, codes, and specifications.
   • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines and company policies.
4. Problem-Solving and Risk Management:
   • Identify potential issues, assess risks, and propose solutions to avoid delays, cost overruns, or quality compromises.
   • Maintain an action plan to address any design or engineering challenges.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including technical drawings, progress reports, and meeting notes.
   • Document changes or updates to the project scope, design, or specifications, and communicate them to the team.
6. Resource Management:
   • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure materials and equipment are available as needed.
   • Optimize resource use and minimize waste to support project cost-effectiveness.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or related field.
• Proven experience in project engineering or similar role, preferably in [Industry, e.g., construction, telecommunications].
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and relevant codes and standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
