Junior Java Developer 

Location: Singapore 

About the Role

The candidate will develop  Java trade reporting tools to support business growth in Asia, focusing on new feature development, testing, deployment, and production support. Strong  Java  skills, Linux proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with business teams are essential. Experience in automation scripting and familiarity with the fintech industry are preferred. The role offers exposure to a broad range of financial services, with training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Supports all cash, derivatives, FID, and FX trading flows across Asia with a focus on reliability, stability, and real-time data responsiveness.

  
  


• 
  

  Builds global and regional data routing systems to meet evolving ad-hoc business and regulatory requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborates closely across regions (Asia, global teams) to deliver strategic, scalable data solutions.

  
  


• 
  

  The candidate will develop Java  trade reporting tools supporting business expansion in Asia.

  
  


• 
  

  Responsibilities include feature development, testing, deployment, production support, and automation scripting.

  
  


• 
  

  Must be proficient in Java , Linux, and able to work closely with business teams to gather requirements and solve issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Exposure to various business areas including sales & trading, wealth management, and fixed income.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong emphasis on teamwork, learning the business, and contributing to global data initiatives.

  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong UNIX / Linux skills, Knowledge of Springboot, Kafka (good knowledge)


• Good knowledge and experience of programing languages: JAVA Full stack development


• Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written)


• Knowledge of Networking, Data Structure, Database is required


• Experience of Scripting (Shell, Python, Perl etc.) is preferred


• Good analytical and problem-solving skills


• Experience of Agile/DevOps


• Experience with large-scale distributed systems


• Be comfortable to take integration works to support the business


• Be comfortable to take support work to solve issues for both QA and Production under pressure


• Be comfortable and adept at expressing your ideas in meetings, design sessions etc.
