KYC Client Onboarding Specialist (Corporate Banking)

Responsibilities

1. Conduct name screening and background checks for both individuals and corporate entities.
2. Collaborate closely with the Front Office to gather and complete KYC documentation.
3. Ensure all KYC due diligence for new and existing clients is accurate, thorough, and completed within stipulated timelines.
4. Perform comprehensive due diligence checks for account openings in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
5. Review, verify, and validate client documentation to ensure completeness and compliance.
6. Maintain proper documentation of all reviews, decisions, and approvals within defined timelines.
7. Scan, organize, and maintain approved CDD/KYC records in internal systems.
8. Monitor and follow up on outstanding documentation or discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.
9. Support periodic KYC reviews and remediation projects.
10. Assist with ad-hoc assignments and projects as required by management.

1. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Banking, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 3–8 years of relevant experience in KYC, AML, or client onboarding within the banking or financial services industry.
3. Strong knowledge of AML/KYC regulations, compliance standards, and client onboarding processes.
4. Experience with corporate banking products and client structures, including mid-to-large corporates.
5. Good understanding of complex ownership structures, UBO identification, and risk classification.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and team-oriented attitude.
7. Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with KYC systems/tools is a plus.
