Job Description - L1 Application Monitoring Support

Role: L1 Application Support - 12 months Renewable contract

Experience: Minimum of 2 years

Location : Changi Business Park

Job Description:

As an L1 Application Monitoring Support, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring the smooth operation of our applications.

Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring application performance, executing scheduled and ad-hoc tasks, and resolving incidents.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Online Monitoring & Batch Monitoring:

Execute Ad-Hoc Requests & Scheduled Maintenance:

Incident Management:

Escalation and Collaboration:

  1. Continuously monitor application health and performance.
  2. Perform routine health checks to ensure system stability.
  3. Manage and execute batch jobs, including scheduling and maintaining them.
  4. Conduct scheduled maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance.
  5. Log, analyze, and resolve incidents promptly.
  6. Monitor End-of-Day (EOD) processes and address any job failures.
  7. Escalate complex issues to the L2 support team.
  8. Assist L2 in performing LP (Low Priority) and PP (Post Processing) activities.

  • SOP-Based Task Execution:
  • L2 Escalation/Coordination:
  1. Strong knowledge and experience in application and system monitoring.
  2. Proficient in writing and debugging shell scripts for task automation and troubleshooting.
  3. Execute tasks based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with precision and consistency.
  4. Efficiently escalate and coordinate with L2 support for resolving advanced issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in application monitoring or a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
