Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry)

Job Description:

• Conduct laboratory operations in designated areas and report any malfunction, abnormality

• Practice good housekeeping to ensure the work area and surrounding is kept clean.

• Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous waste as defined in the Hazardous Waste Plan

• Verify and keep proper documentations once samples are received and opened

• Coordinate receipt and registration of samples in the LIMS software in a timely manner to be processed for testing without delay

• Report any equipment problem, calibration issues, or difficult samples

• Check equipment readiness for assigned test method, carry out QC test as needed and enter result in the SQC system.

• Homogenize sample and subdivide for various test benches

• Carry out routine testing of assigned bench

• Data entry of test results in datasheet or in LIMS

• Ensure all Safety and Health policies, test procedures are followed while carrying out test

• Any other ad hoc duties

Job Requirement:

• Education - Chemistry
• Minimum 1 year experience in relevant field
• Training will be provided
• Shift Work
