Laboratory Resource Support Executive

Job Responsibilities

• Support teachers in preparing resources and materials for Science laboratory activities and programmes.
• Organise and maintain Science teaching materials, laboratory equipment and records.
• Ensure Science rooms, equipment and safety facilities are clean, safe and in good working condition.
• Conduct stocktaking and maintain stock and breakage records.
• Support laboratory safety procedures, waste disposal and incident documentation.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for Science programmes, competitions and assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Nitec/Higher Nitec in Science or a related field, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant Science laboratory experience.
• Experience supporting Science programmes, STEM or sustainability projects is advantageous.
• Proficient in laboratory equipment preparation, Microsoft Excel, Google Forms and booking systems.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Good communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Experience working with primary school students is advantageous.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• First Aid certification is advantageous.

Duration/Working Hours: 

1 year - subj to extension of 1 year (Jan 2027 to Dec 2027) 

Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1.0 hr lunch break Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1.0 hr lunch break Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
