Lead Cloud AI Engineer

About the Role:

Our client is hiring their first Lead Cloud AI Engineer to lead their efforts in the AI space. This person will work closely with the Data team to design, build, and deploy AI solutions that meet business needs. The role requires someone who can take ownership, build AI models from the ground up, and ensure successful integration with existing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy AI and machine learning models from scratch to solve real-world problems.
• Integrate AI solutions into business systems to improve functionality and user experience.
• Manage data pipelines and infrastructure to support AI projects.
• Work with different teams to ensure AI projects align with business goals.
• Optimize resources for performance, cost, and security.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve them quickly.
• Create and maintain documentation for AI systems and processes.
• Write and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for AI deployments.
• Ensure AI solutions follow security best practices and company policies.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in AI technology.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in building and deploying AI models.
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, Java, or R.
• Experience with DevOps practices and IaC tools.
• Background in the Financial Services or Payments industry is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications in AI technologies are a plus.
