The Successful Applicant
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidate to join us as Learning and Development Manager. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of our employees, ensuring the continuous development and success of our workforce.
Reporting to the AVP, you will be responsible for all learning and development initiatives and programs in the organisation, you will conceptualise, develop and implement a holistic learning ecosystem, including needs assessment, training strategy, curriculum development, identifying effective delivery methods, creating your own modules / training content, running classroom training sessions, and assessment of results.
You have a proven track record of creating new and innovative programmes, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving attributes. You will come with excellent communication and influencing skills. Key to your success will be your proactive attitude, ability to communicate well across levels, flexibility and your ability to initiate.
Responsibilities:
- Partner key stakeholders to identify organisational learning needs through training needs analysis and design, develop and implement capability development plan.
- Design and implement training and development programs that are aligned with capability development goals and address skill gaps within the workforce.
- Work with Business stakeholders to review department competencies.
- Manage orientation sessions for new employees, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
- Establish a continuous learning culture, promoting ongoing professional development opportunities for employees at all levels.
- Develop and manage the training and development budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
- Source and evaluate external training vendors, negotiating contracts and maintaining positive relationships.
- Ensure that all training programs and talent management practices comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage training claims applications. training expense approvals, training enrolments and attendance
- Prepare learning report/ analytics dashboard to support learning and development related decision making.
- Proficient in use of any Learning Management System (LMS)
The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- Degree in Human Resource Management or related disciplines.
- At least 6-8 years’ experience in similar roles.
- ACTA / ACLP / DACE from WSQ would be preferred
- Competent in content development and implementation with knowledge of various training methodologies
- Knowledgeable in learning strategies, pedagogies and ed-tech tools/platforms
- Experience in designing, developing and implementing L&D programmes
- Experienced trainer with excellent presentation/facilitation skills and ability
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to build good working relationships with people at all levels of the organization.
- Confident in both spoken and written communications with the ability to present to large audiences and to management.
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Strong critical thinking and decision making
- Meticulous with strong organization and administration skills
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong initiative, self-motivated, and focused in achieving quality outputs
- Familiarity with learning management systems and other training technologies.
