The Job
Reporting to the General Counsel, the incumbent will assist in providing legal advisory and corporate secretarial duties:
- Support General Counsel in providing legal advice and other legal support (working in conjunction with external counsels as appropriate) to JP executives, Management and Board to ensure that Jurong Port carries out its operations in compliance with all applicable laws/regulations.
- Support Company Secretary in organizing corporate meetings, statutory fillings and compliance procedures under the Singapore Companies Act and adherence to requirement under the Corporate Governance Code.
The Requirements
- Degree in Law in a recognized University in a common law jurisdiction.
- Called to the Singapore bar or any other common law jurisdiction preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in legal advisory role, preferably with a mixture of law firm and in-house experience.
- Experience in providing practical business solutions and sound legal and comprehensive advice to the various business units and corporate functions, preferably in a dynamic organization.
- Good written and spoken in English and Mandarin.
- Excellent relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills and working collaboratively.
- High integrity, high standard of professionalism and ethics.
