Job Description - LEGO Robotics and STEM Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic LEGO Robotics Trainer to lead engaging educational programs for children. The LEGO Robotics Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering interactive robotics and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lessons using LEGO Education materials. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a deep understanding of robotics concepts, and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners to explore and create with LEGO robotics.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement dynamic curriculum for LEGO robotics and STEM programs tailored to children of varying ages and skill levels.
  2. Teach fundamental robotics concepts, including coding, engineering principles, and problem-solving skills, using LEGO Education materials.
  3. Lead hands-on activities, workshops, and projects to engage children in building and programming LEGO robots.
  4. Provide instruction and mentorship to students as they design, build, and test their own robotic creations.
  5. Foster creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork through collaborative robotics projects.
  6. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
  7. Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
  8. Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate program schedules, resources, and special events.
  9. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and program activities.
  10. Stay informed on advancements in robotics technology and educational best practices to enhance program offerings.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Robotics, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and be patient when working with children, adjusting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Passion for inspiring young learners and fostering a love for STEM subjects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Additional Information:

  • Office hours: Monday to Friday, with rotating half weekends.
  • Location: Orchard.
