Job Description - Lifestyle Consultant

About UStay

UStay is an integrated lifestyle service company in Singapore, providing home cleaning, soft furnishing and interior styling, life management services, and student support services. Our clients include international students, families, young professionals, and residential customers who need practical and personalised support in daily living, home improvement, and service coordination.

Our services include, but are not limited to, domestic cleaning coordination, study and relocation support, assistance with daily-life adaptation in Singapore, basic administrative guidance, customer care, emotional support within a non-clinical service scope, and soft furnishing or residential design coordination.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Client Service & Lifestyle Consultant to act as the main contact point between clients and UStay’s internal service teams. The consultant will communicate with clients, understand and document their needs, coordinate with cleaning, consulting, design, production, or operations teams, and support the smooth delivery of UStay’s services.

The role also involves business development and digital marketing support, including assisting with content creation and client acquisition through platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Xiaohongshu, and other online channels.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Communicate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, budget, timeline, and service expectations.
  2. Record, organise, and update client requirements accurately for internal follow-up.
  3. Coordinate with cleaning teams, consulting teams, design teams, production teams, suppliers, and other service providers to ensure timely and proper service delivery.
  4. Follow up with clients before, during, and after service delivery to ensure a positive customer experience.
  5. Assist international students and other clients with practical lifestyle support, including general orientation to Singapore, daily-life adaptation, service booking, basic administrative guidance, and communication coordination.
  6. Provide non-clinical emotional support by listening to clients, identifying concerns, and referring them to appropriate professional or emergency services where necessary.
  7. Support soft furnishing and residential styling projects by helping collect client requirements, coordinate site information, communicate with designers or suppliers, and follow up on project progress.
  8. Assist in preparing service proposals, quotations, client briefs, checklists, reports, and other service-related documents.
  9. Support marketing and customer acquisition activities through social media content planning, photo/video shooting, short-form video editing, posting, replying to enquiries, and maintaining client communication channels.
  10. Assist in building and maintaining customer relationships, identifying potential leads, and supporting conversion from enquiry to confirmed service.
  11. Collect customer feedback and suggest improvements to service workflow, customer experience, and marketing content.

Requirements

  1. Degree in business, marketing, hospitality, communications, design, education, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Relevant experience in customer service, consulting, sales, lifestyle services, home services, interior styling, student services, education services, or digital marketing will be an advantage.
  3. Strong communication, listening, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Able to understand client needs and translate them into clear internal instructions.
  5. Organised, detail-oriented, responsible, and able to follow up on multiple tasks at the same time.
  6. Comfortable working with different internal teams, suppliers, service workers, and clients.
  7. Able to use common office tools and communication platforms, such as email, WhatsApp, Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Canva, and basic CRM or task management tools.
  8. Professional, patient, service-oriented, and able to handle client enquiries or complaints calmly.
  9. Language Requirements
  • Proficiency in English is required for daily work communication in Singapore.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage, as the role may involve communication with Mandarin-speaking clients, students, families, and suppliers.
  • Ability to communicate in other languages will be an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

  1. Experience managing or creating content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Xiaohongshu, or other social media platforms.
  2. Basic photography, videography, video editing, copywriting, or content planning skills.
  3. Experience in lead generation, online customer enquiries, community management, or social media advertising.
  4. Interest or experience in soft furnishing, interior styling, residential design, home organisation, or lifestyle services.
  5. Understanding of international student needs, relocation support, or daily-life support services in Singapore.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up or small-team environment.
