Job Title: LNG Operator

Job Summary:

The LNG Operator is responsible for managing the logistical operations involved in the transportation and delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, coordinating the loading and unloading of LNG carriers, collaborating closely with traders, managing logistics, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards, and handling financial aspects of transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the scheduling and execution of LNG cargo operations, including loading and unloading activities at terminals and vessels.
• Monitor and track the movement of LNG shipments throughout the supply chain, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
• Communicate with suppliers, buyers, and transportation companies to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues that may arise during cargo operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices for LNG handling and transportation.
• Manage documentation and paperwork related to LNG shipments, including bills of lading, customs forms, and safety certificates.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential hazards during LNG cargo operations.
• Work closely with the traders to implement new trading strategies and maximize the value of existing strategies. Perform evaluation of contracts to secure maximum commercial value from each deal and post deal reconciliation & review
• Work closely with the Legal/Contracts, Mid and Back Office Functions, Tax, Finance and Credit teams to provide assurance on trading processes, guidelines and procedures
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field is preferred. 
• At least 1-3 years of experience in LNG cargo operation, with prior experience in crude oil or refined oil cargo operation being advantageous
• Prior experience in LNG trading, shipping operations, or energy logistics is advantageous.
• Familiarity with international trade practices, shipping regulations, and Incoterms.
• Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal capabilities.
• Multi-tasking, can work independently, able to handle pressures and tight deadlines especially cargo loadings during weekends/holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in English, proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
