The team partners closely with global construction, engineering, procurement, and program leadership to enable cost certainty, informed decision\u2011making, and overall project success in fast\u2011paced, highly technical environments.\n\nLeading a team of seasoned should cost analysts, you will help to standardize cost estimating \u0026 analysis practices and leverage technology to enhance insights and identify saving opportunities for various regional and worldwide construction projects. You will also establish methodologies with stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration into business practices.\n\nYour responsibilities include stakeholder relationship management, competitive cost negotiations support, and thought leadership in procurement construction cost practices. Your expertise as a Quantity Surveyor will be invaluable as we integrate best practices and achieve business objectives.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Proactive Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to identify project cost opportunities that enhance competitiveness and ensure successful project execution.\n * Framework Development: Create and implement a framework for continuous improvement in construction should cost analysis, ensuring competitive cost negotiations for Procurement Category teams.\n * Manage 3rd Party PQS: Manage the delivery of project achievement estimates through multiple phases. Coordinate with third-party PQS or equivalent experience providers to ensure timely delivery and alignment with Micron standards.\n * Define estimating tasks, due dates, templates, and work breakdown structure alignment, and ensure reconciliation between EPC, AE, and PQS estimates while clearly identifying gaps, risks, and next steps.\n * Support value engineering efforts and establish and track Target Value Design and affordability targets in collaboration with project teams.\n * Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with stakeholders to apply the best should cost models for various project delivery methods and strategies (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build).\n * Empower Procurement: Equip procurement partners with essential tools and platforms for data-driven decision-making; provide consultation on negotiation strategies and fact packs.\n * Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the company (e.g., Procurement, Facilities Construction, Finance, Operations) to ensure overall project success.\n * Provide Insights: Offer insights on procurement cost-related aspects, including systems, processes, competitiveness benchmarking, and opportunities.\n * Mentorship and Development: Supervise, Mentor, coach, and develop team members across multiple regions, promoting best practice-based solutions.\n * Data Collaboration: Work with business analytics and smart manufacturing teams to develop a database for maintaining, tracking, and reporting key cost data in relation to global economic trends.\n\n\n\nYou are a person that:\n\n * Is highly skilled in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\n * Demonstrates strong communication, influencing stakeholders and able to communicate complex cost insights effectively to senior leaders.\n * Embraces a positive attitude for collaborating across different global regions and cultures.\n * Is agile in adopting new methods and tools for continuous improvement.\n * Thrives in a global, fast-paced, and dynamic environment and can support occasional travel.\n\n\n\nExperience: Preferred\n\n * Minimum 10+ years of relevant project and management experience in cost management, quantity surveying, construction procurement, or analytics within large capital project environments, particularly in Cleanroom/Hospital/Pharmaceutical or high-tech manufacturing related projects\n * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, data analysis, and experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI), with the ability to analyze and summarize complex cost data.\n * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, incorporating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and benchmarking concepts.\n * Demonstrated construction \u0026 cost estimating / Cost management experience.\n * Demonstrated experience with should cost methodologies (e.g. clean sheet, liner price performance, benchmarking).\n * Excellent communication, consulting, and presentation skills.\n\n\n\nEducation:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nBusiness Intel / Analytics Manager 1\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
