JOB SUMMARY
The Manager Human Resources is responsible for delivering HR policies, procedures and programs in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management and employee relations for associates from Marriott Customer Engagement Centers in Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Develop hiring strategies, collaborate with hiring managers and manage end-to-end hiring process to ensure timely hire of new hires
- Track and monitor the talent acquisition and staff attrition metrics
- Promote employee branding through networking with organizations, institutions and not limited to external recruitment partners to source candidates for current or future openings
- Conduct company orientation for new hires and supports functional leaders in department orientation for new hires to receive training to successfully perform their new roles
- Conduct regular engagement session with new hires
- Ensure effective preparation, retention and retrieval of personnel files
- Administer annual engagement survey and develop action plans to improve satisfaction index
- Plan and execute year-round wellness/volunteerism events to prioritize physical, mental and financial wellness of the associates
- Champion positive work environment by promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, diversity and encourage volunteerism and caring for the communities
- Conduct/maintain effective communication channels to keep associates informed of company/HR policies/procedures/programs
- Ensure proper progressive disciplinary documentation with corrective action/performance improvement plan
- Manage an effective and fair grievance procedure in line with company policy/government legislation
EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
- 8 years experience in Human Resources
- At least 3 years in a management capacity
- Strong understanding of employment legislation in Singapore
- Knowledge in employment legislation in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand is an added advantage
- Strong team work and influencing skills with the ability to drive results
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
