Manager/Senior Manager Game Services - Hospitality 2 (Contract Role)

As the Manager/Senior Manager Games Services - Hospitality 2 (Transportation, Arrival & Departure, City Operations) at the World Aquatics Championships 2025, you play a pivotal role to support the Deputy Director to ensure the event's success and the safety of all involved.  Your responsibilities include managing and coordinating these critical functions to ensure the smooth and secure execution of the event.

What you will be working on

Responsibilities

1.  Transportation

• Ensure the efficient and organized movement of athletes, officials, staff, and equipment to and from various venues and locations during the event.
• Assist to develop transportation planning strategies.
• Assist in vehicle procurement and driver sourcing.
• Develop driver management and traffic coordination, working closely with local traffic authorities.
• Assist in planning of transportation for various client groups with varying service levels.
• Assist to draft up Implementation and manage accommodation shuttle services.
• Assist to size up budget for transportation, emphasizing sustainability initiatives.
• Assist with post-event logistics and emergency response.
• Assist to implement contingency plans for transportation-related emergencies.

2.  Arrival & Departure

• Collaborate with various government agencies, including MHA for airport access, CAAS for airport arrangements, MFA for protocol.
• Assist to plan for participants (Delegates/VIPs, IFs, Members, Athletes, Officials, Media) from the airport.
• Assist with Inter-Ministry co-operation committee and NSA on freight clearance and sports equipment clearance.
• Assist in loading docks and storage areas.
• Support as a liaison with the Customs Department and Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, resolving visa issues if any.
• Support and facilitate all immigration formalities for entry and welcome of the AQUA Family into Singapore. 

3. City Operations

• Oversee various aspects of city-wide operations to create a safe, efficient, and enjoyable environment for athletes, officials, spectators, and the local community. 
• Develop city operations planning, including thematic designs to enhance the event's atmosphere. 
• Coordinate interagency efforts to prepare infrastructure and venues. 
• Handle permitting and licensing for various event-related activities.

In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, event management, with a focus on transportation and safety, preferably in sports or large-scale events.
• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Logistics, Event Management, or a related field.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong ability to write and engage with stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with the aquatic sports industry is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as needed during the event, including weekends and holidays.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as and when directed by Project Director.
